Wine without sugar by Alan Hubbard

Finally wine lovers can enjoy their favorite beverage without the calories.

A new product has just been launched in Australia - a sugar free wine. Better than sugar free, its also organic, so it must be good for you!

Yandina business woman Laura Adams is the sole distributor of a range of "Ecologico" range of sugar - free wines from Vinos de la Cruz of Uruguay.
This range of boutique wines include a Pinot Noir, a Cabernet Sauvignon, a Muscat d'hamburg, and a champagne- style wine, which all come with an affordable price tag of $40 a bottle.

"Being organic and sugar-free, you also have the added benefits of each of these wines having anti-oxidant features, and you can drink a whole bottle and not have a hangover", Laura said.

And while the wines contain no sugar, they don't compromise on alcohol content, which on average is 11%. "The secret is in the brewing process", Laura said. "The grapes actually absorb the sugar, so just the flavour and the"kick"remain.
